Champaign County Labor Shed

According to the 2006 Labor Shed Study conducted by the EDC 17% of those working inside the county commute from outside the county. The data was collected from top employers, a vast majority of which are in Champaign-Urbana. At the most it is a 25 minute drive from the twin Cities to the county boarder in any direction. The report shows in-county commute patterns as well as those from outside the county and the state. No significant changes have occurred since 2006 to greatly impact this output so the report can still be viewed as accurate. This report verifies the findings in the PathFinders Report.
