Background
The village of Fisher is a friendly community, founded in 1875, were you can feel safe raising a family and enjoy the benefits of small town living. The village has recently developing new subdivisions for its 1,880 residents. Fisher provides the perfect climate for business and industry and is about 16 miles from Champaign-Urbana.

Higher Education
Parkland College
Parkland College is primarily a two-year college offering vocational and transfer degrees in over 100 different areas. Parkland also offers advanced degrees through partnerships with Eastern Illinois University, University of Illinois at Springfield, Franklin University, Olivet-Nazarene University and Greenville College. Parkland also offers nine sports teams and numerous student organizations.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is one of the preeminent research universities in the world. Eleven alumni of UIUC, including nine university faculty, have been named Nobel Prize Laureates and 18 alumni and two faculty members are Pulitzer Prize recipients. UIUC campus is also home to the largest public university library in the world, the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, the renowned Krannert Center for the Performing Arts and 19 Division I sports teams.

Fisher is located sixteen miles east of I-74 and nine miles west of I-57 on State Route 136.
