Willard Airport Receives Small Community Air Service Development Program (SCASDP) Grant

Today, the U.S. Department of Transportation issued the Small Community Air Service Development Program (SCASDP) grant Selection Order. DOT selected 25 applications from 20 States, totaling nearly $17 million in federal grant assistance. University of Illinois — Willard Airport was selected as a recipient of this grant program.

“Expanding air service at University of Illinois — Willard Airport is a top priority for our organization,” said Carly McCrory-McKay, Executive Director of the Champaign County Economic Development Corporation and Chair of Willard’s Executive and Advisory Committees. “We’re thrilled with the news of this grant and look forward to working with Willard leadership, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and community partners to attract air service to the DC market.”
